Transportation Analyst

As a Transportation Analyst, you’ll get to support our Transportation Operations by providing reporting and analytical needs for the entire country! You’ll communicate often with leaders across the business and recommend and assist in implementing new strategies.

• Develop and provide key metrics to all levels of the management team (e.g. Compliance, Mileage Efficiency, Licensing etc.) with the working experience of PowerBI and database structures
• Review and synthesize transportation data to identify trends and develop solutions for improvement
• Partner with operations to support integration and synergy reporting and be effective in communication goals/objectives
• Coach and teach underperforming operations how to improve the various transportation metrics
• Work with vendors for reviewing and disputing invoices and proper allocations across the network
• Review consumption trends such as fuel and mileage data to prepare files for the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) and other Environmental Social Governance (ESG) initiatives
• Work with Transportation Leaders to coordinate vehicle licensing with our titling agents
• Develop and maintain a Driver Recognition Program to gather data points and safety information to effectively administer a rewards and recognition program
• Support month-end management reporting processes and deliverables
• Support monthly and weekly reporting and forecasting

• Bachelor's degree is preferred, not required
• Familiarity with the Trucking industry is required
• 1-3 years of experience working in the transportation field
• 1-3 years of analytical experience required (preferably in the transportation field)
• Strong PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI & other Data Warehouses
• Good analytical skills: ability to understand and interpret transportation data
• Strong understanding of both transportation and operational processes
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple entities and / or functional areas
• Ability to convert detailed analysis into summaries and provide comments and recommendation for more effective procedures
